The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Nazoires was very closed and rather subdued on the nose despite coaxing; maybe it has closed down. The palate is chewy on the entry with hard, bitter tannins, and an odd greenness on the finish suggests that maybe some of the fruit did not achieve phenolic ripeness.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
